Privacy Policy
Mindblox is an Android app that brings brain-training games together. This policy explains what data the app and this website collect, why, and how it is kept. We wrote it in plain language; if anything is unclear, write to us and we will answer.
1. Using the app without an account
The app can be played fully offline without creating an account. In that case no personal data is sent to our servers; scores and settings live only on your device and disappear when you uninstall.
2. Data we collect when you create an account
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| Email address | To identify your account, confirm the email and reset your password. Never shown to other users. |
| Password | Stored only as an irreversible hash (bcrypt). We cannot see it either. |
| Display name | Shown to other players on leaderboards and friend lists. You choose it. |
| Birth year | To verify the minimum age of 13. We do not ask for a full date of birth. |
| Language preference | To show emails and the interface in your language. |
| Game results | Score, duration and performance. Streaks, personal records, the Brain Index and leaderboards are computed from these. |
| Friend code and friendships | Friends are added by code; your email is never visible to any user. |
| IP address and device label | Only for session security and abuse limiting, in session records. No location inference. |
| Subscription status | Whether the membership you bought through Google Play is valid. We never see payment details; only Google holds them. |
3. What we do not collect
No location, contacts, photos, microphone or advertising ID. The app has no ads and no third-party analytics or tracking libraries. We do not sell your data and do not share it for advertising.
4. Legal basis
Account data is processed to perform the contract (to provide the service). Security records rely on legitimate interest. Where the law requires it, we ask for your explicit consent.
5. Retention
- Raw game records are deleted after 90 days; only the daily skill summary (Brain Index history) and personal records remain.
- Account data is kept until the account is deleted.
- Account deletion is reversible for 30 days; signing in during that time cancels it. After 30 days the account and all linked data are permanently removed.
- Used confirmation links and expired sessions are cleaned up regularly.
- Database backups are kept for at most 7 days.
6. Who we share data with
| Party | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Google Play (Google LLC) | App distribution and subscription billing. Google's own privacy policy applies. |
| IONOS (hosting and email) | Our servers and confirmation emails run on IONOS infrastructure. The server is located in the United States. |
Beyond this, your data is not shared with anyone unless the law requires it.
7. International transfer
Because our server is in the United States, your account data is stored there. Data travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS), passwords are stored hashed, and server access is restricted.
8. Your rights
- Access and portability: you can download all your data as one file from the app.
- Rectification: you can change your display name and email in the app.
- Erasure: delete your account from the app or from this page.
- Objection and complaints: write to admin@ifamilyguard.com. In the EU you may contact your local data protection authority; in Türkiye the Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK).
9. Children
You must be 13 or older to create an account. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13; such accounts are deleted when noticed. The puzzles are open to everyone without an account, and in that case no data is collected.
10. Changes
When this policy changes, the date above is updated. For significant changes we notify you inside the app.
